Very pleasant experience overall - extremely clean and perfect location. Positive: We stayed in the Pekin apartment - a small but spotless and well equipped apartment at a perfect location. Absolutely no noise from the rest of the building whatsoever (except for the noise from Gran Via which is to be expected). It is also very suitable for small groups - a spacious bedroom with a very large double bed and two large windows overlooking Gran Via, and a double sofabed (which is equally as comfortable as a bed, although not so much as a sofa!) in the kitchen/living area. The toilet and shower are in separate rooms/partitions and the bathroom sink is sensibly located in the kitchen/living area. The kitchen is compact but fully equipped! The building has very efficient and spacious elevators. Good communication from Monaro as well! They were very accommodating in letting us store our luggage at their office before and after our checkin/checkout. Early check-in and late check-out was available against a fee. Negative: One very minor issue was that the code to the main door as instructed to use on the first time entering the building, did not work. But this was very quickly resolved as other visitors let us in. As far as the room goes, a socket/outlet next to the sofabed would be most helpful, and a full length mirror is definitely missing from an otherwise fully equipped apartment. Whilst there is a TV in the bedroom, the small TV in the living/kitchen area is not conveniently placed.
